Course
As had already been introduced by the Dept. of Computer Science, HPU Shimla, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Govt. College Naura has also started BCA course from the academic session 2021-2022. BCA is the three year Degree Course with Semester system of examination. The total number of seats in BCA course is 40
Eligiblity Conditions
(I) Plus two Exam in any discipline under 10+2 system or any other examination equivalent thereto, of Board/University established by law in India with at least 40% marks(35% marksin case of SC/ST candidates).
(ii) Any examination of a Board/University/College/School in a foreign country recognized as equivalent for the purpose of eligibility as laid down by the Vice Chancellor/Equivalence Committee or on the recommendation of Association of Indian Universities. AIU House, 16 Kotla Marg New Delhi-i 10002, with at least 40% marks (35% marks in case of SC/ST candidates).
Age Limit
Except for NRI’s/NRI sponsored / Foreign candidates, the maximum age limit for admission to BCA programme is 23 years as on May of the Admission year concerned. However, in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, the upper age limit will be relaxable by three years. The Vice Chancellor has the power to permit age relaxation for reasons to be recorded in writing, up to maximum period of three months.
Reservation
Admission to the course except for the seats reserved for NRls/NRI sponsored candidates shall be
subjected to the following conditions:
1. 15% and 7.5% seats shall be reserved for schedule caste and schedule tribe candidates respectively who have passed their BA/B.Sc./B.Com. or any other equivalent degree from any recognized university.
2. The remaining 77.5% seats shall be filled as under.
• 25% of the seats for admission shall be open for all the candidates irrespective of the institution from where they have passed their qualifying examination.
• 75% of the seats shall be filled out of the candidates who have passed their graduation degree from Himachal Pradesh University subjected to the following reservations:
• 5% of the seats shall be reserved for outstanding sportsmen/women. (b). 5% of the seats shall be reserved for outstanding cultural activists. (c) 3% of the seats shall be reserved for physically handicapped candidates
The H.P. University 120 point roaster for admission showing reservations of various categories shall
be followed
Summer Dress Code
Light Blue Plain Shirt, Black Trouser and Black shoes with Black Tie for BCA students.
Winter Dress Code
Gray sweater and blazer shall be the dress code during the winters for BCA students.
